Umbilical Cord Blood Bank

Umbilical Cord Blood Banking suggestions...? I've been researching Viacord, Cryo-cell, CBR, and Family Cord Blood Services. I can't seem to decipher which one is the best and most trustworthy. I don't want to base it on price. They're all similar but some experienced testimonials would help too.

Cord blood banking- yes or no? I am currently about to deliver any day now. During my entire pregnancy, we have read about cord blood banking and ultimately decided that we should do it. We ordered the kit and have it ready to go with us to the hospital. Then a few days ago, we watched something on good morning America and it basically told you that the cord blood companies tell you only what they want you to believe and that its not all that wonderful. They said that basically you are banking on the fact that the childs cord blood that you bank is GOOD blood, incase a later sibling or family member needs it, in which there will be a 25% chance of a match. That is NOT what the cord blood companies say, so we are not sure what to do now. We asked our doctor and he basically said that he has relatives who have done it, but he hasnt done it, and he most likely would not do it now if he were to have another child. Basically, if the doctor says he wouldnt do it, is it really wonderful? Has anyone out there done it? Does anyone have any information or review websites I can look at? What are all of your opinions on the topic? Should I cancel it and pay the $150 cancellation fee, or go ahead with the process? We are so confused now! Thanks!

Cord Blood Banking? Hi ..... does it make sense to bank in my 2nd baby's cord blood? I have already done so for my 1st! Am I being to kiasu if I do the same for my 2nd one? No known genetic blood related diseases in family history .....

Cord Blood Banking? I've seen tv commercials, but i was wondering if i could just ask them to do this at the hospital when the baby is born.. Does insurance usually cover it? Or is it an out of pocket thing? Has anyone else done this.. and was it benificail for your family? Also I was wondering how long they will save the cord blood and how many times it can be used..
