Umbilical Cord Blood Bank

Can I earn money by donating umbilical cord blood?

I've been receiving the information about "cord blood bank" and such. I also heard you can donate the cord blood as well. I am curious if I can earn some money by donating this cord blood.

1. I doubt it would be much if anything at all and if you were going to do that I don't get why you wouldn't save it for your own family.
2. You cannot make money from it, but you can donate to the national cord bank which could save someone's life.
3. Cord blood bank is a good way to save the blood to save lives not to make money from. It is just like giving blood to the Red Cross to help save lives. You do it to help others not to make money and profit from others misfortunes. You or one of your children may need the blood one day.
4. you dont make money off of donating anything, you should do it to help others not to profit from it usually storing cord blood is for your family to have for the future but it costs money
5. I found out about the corn blood bank a week after i had my son, if i knew about it i woulda donated. but im planning on donateing this time around.. and no u cant make money off of it.
6. Cord blood is used in bone marrow transplants and other medical proceedures, which means it falls under the organ laws.... illegal to sale.
