how many of you use cord blood banking?

I can see the benefits of cord blood banking, im just concerned about the price. How does the billing work... I know there is a collection cost. How much do you have to pay after that for storage? Is it monthly, yearly???? Have any of you had to use it? If so was it easy to collect from. Did you feel it was worth it?

1. I wish I could do it, it's a wonderful investment if you have the money but it's super expensive and there's no way I can afford it. There is a collection cost as well as a monthly (I think) "storage" fee that's just outrageous. =/
2. I got some info of prices from www.cordlife.com In Singapore, I could use the Baby Bonus benefit.. That'll need some explaining from the sales-person herself.. =X Good luck!
3. I am doing it b/c I feel it gives me a little insurance on him. We are going with CBR it is about $2000 up front and $125 a year. Statistically very few people use it that do it but for my piece of mind it is worth it. I would skip an expensive nursery or unnecessary stuff to save for this.
